Preparation method of tungsten-copper alloy tube

Tungstan-copper alloy tube is a kind of metal composite material with tungsten and copper elements as the main components. It is composed of tungsten and copper two phase monomer evenly mixed structure. It is neither miscible nor intermetallic compound formed, and is a typical pseudoalloy. The tungston-copper alloy tube combines the excellent performance of two components of metal, and has the advantages of high melting point, high density, low expansion coefficient and good conductivity and ductility of metal copper. It has the characteristics of uniform microstructure, high temperature resistance, arc ablation resistance, high mechanical strength, high density, good conductivity and thermal conductivity. Moreover, the properties of tungsten-copper alloys can be adjusted by changing the proportions of their components.

The main preparation methods of tungsten - copper alloy tube are high temperature liquid sintering, melting and infiltration, hot pressing sintering and activation sintering. The physical properties of tungsten and copper are very different, incompatible, unable to form a solid solution, and the melting point difference is huge, tungsten-copper alloy tube is usually prepared by powder metallurgy, that is, the ultra-fine tungsten, copper powder after pressing and forming, at 1300℃ ~ 1500 ℃ liquid phase sintering tungsten copper alloy with high density. During the preparation process, nickel and other elements can be added to improve the sintering activity and increase the density of alloy. It is also possible to adopt the fusion method, in which the tungsten powder is pressed into shape, and the tungsten skeleton with certain porosity is sintered, and then the copper is fused, so as to prepare the tungston-copper alloy with more uniform microstructure and low copper content.

Tungsten-copper alloy tube is widely used in hard alloys and insoluble metals. Because of the simple machining of tungsten-copper alloy, tungsten-copper alloy tube plays a great role in situations where the surface needs to be easy to cut and the inner diameter is small.
