Bismuth ball is silver-white or reddish metal, with metallic luster, brittle and hard, orthorhombic coarse-grained crystal. The purity of bismuth ball is over 99.9%, the melting point is 271.3℃, and the boiling point is (1560±5)℃. Insoluble in water, slowly soluble in hot hydrochloric acid, soluble in hot sulfuric acid. It is stable at room temperature, and when heated, it burns with a light blue flame and produces yellow or brown bismuth oxide. |
