Description

Pure Tantalum Sheet are almost all cold - processed. Generally, starting from tantalum ingot of 15 ~ 30cm, the slab is cold forged into about 8~10m thick, and then cold rolled from this slab, the compression rate can be more than 95%. In commercial production, slabs are usually rolled into 0.63 ~ 1.2cm thick slabs with a width of 51 ~ 102cm by two rolling mills or four rolling mills. Rolling is typically carried out at or near room temperature to prevent oxide formation on the surface. Almost all thick Pure Tantalum Sheet are heat-treated and annealed in vacuum. Since there is no metamorphosis, the rate of heating and cooling is not important.
