You should have heard of titanium plate, so do you know what is the defect of titanium plate surface?

A defect on the surface of a titanium plate

Titanium and titanium alloy are extremely important lightweight structural materials, widely used in vehicle engineering, biomedicine and other fields, has been the focus of material research. With the development of economy and technology, more and more titanium plates are used, but the surface quality problems are more prominent.

Conventional defects on the surface of titanium plates are:

1. Scratches

Reason: guide plate, roller, tool and roll is not smooth, there is adhesion or edges and corners burr, rolling scratch surface; Operation is not careful, so that they collide with each other to form scratch surface.

Measures: Check the tools, guide plate, roller and roll before rolling, and remove the problems in time; Operate carefully, do not pull and bump.

2, metal pressing into the object

Reason: the burr on the edge of the rolling piece and the slag off the tail are pressed into the product surface.

Measures: Timely elimination of slab edge burr and surface foreign matter. Cut off the edge and head in time.

3, non-metallic pressing into the material

Reason: poor environmental hygiene, dust foreign body fell on the surface of rolling pieces; After pickling, cleaning is not clean.

Measures: Do a good job of hygiene, timely remove the adhesion on the rolled surface.

4. Pitting pitting point

Cause: There are dust foreign bodies on the surface of the pressure plate or the backing plate during the anneal of the pressure orthosis.

Measures: Clear the surface of pressure plate and backing plate before furnace.

5. Roll marks

Reason: roll surface wear serious, pits, pockmarks, scratches, etc.; The surface of the roll is pitted by the plate Angle.

Measures: If roll marks are found, the roll should be trimmed or replaced.
