Does phosphor bronze oxidize in the natural environment?

The solubility of phosphorus in tin bronze is 0.15%, too much phosphorus will produce a+δ+Cu3P terpolymer, the solution point is 628℃, easy to produce hot brittleness, can only be cold drawing. Therefore, the phosphorus content in the deformed phosphor bronze should not exceed 0.5%, and the phosphorus should be less than 0.25% during heat treatment.

Brass having tin as its principal alloying element. Tin content is generally between 3 ~ 14%, mainly used for making elastic components and anti-wear parts. The content of tin in deformed tin bronze is not more than 8%, and sometimes phosphorus, lead, zinc and other elements are added. Phosphorus is a good deoxidizer and can improve the fluidity and wear resistance. The machinability and abrasion resistance of tin bronze can be improved by adding lead, and the casting performance can be improved by adding zinc. This kind of alloy has high mechanical properties, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, easy machining, fiber welding and welding performance, small shrinkage coefficient, no magnetic. Brass bushing, bushing, anti-magnetic components and other coatings can be prepared by cable flame spraying and arc spraying. With a diameter of 1.6mm and 2.3mm. With high strength, corrosion resistance and good casting performance, it has been widely used in various industrial sectors.
