One, Strictly control the furnace temperature

The normal use temperature of tin strip is 240-250℃. The user should often use a thermometer to measure the temperature in the furnace and evaluate the uniformity of the furnace temperature, that is, whether the temperature in the four corners of the furnace is consistent with that in the center of the furnace. We suggest that the deviation should be controlled within t5℃. It should be pointed out that the display temperature of the instrument on the crest furnace can not be looked at alone, because in fact the display temperature of the instrument and the actual furnace temperature usually have a deviation. This deviation depends on the manufacturer of the device and how long the device has been in use.

Two, the peak height control

The control of crest height is important not only for welding quality, but also for reducing tin slag. First of all, the crest should not be too high, generally should not exceed the thickness of the printed circuit board direction 1/3, that is to say, the top of the crest should exceed the printed circuit board welding surface, but can not exceed the component surface. Also important is the stability of the crest height, which depends on the equipment manufacturer. In principle, the higher the crest, the larger the surface of the solder in contact with the air, the more serious the oxidation, the more tin slag. On the other hand, if the crest is unstable, the liquid solder will easily bring air into the molten solder when it falls from the peak, accelerating the oxidation of the solder.

Three, clean up

It is necessary to clean the surface of the tin stove regularly. Otherwise, the solder falling from the peak falls on the surface of the tin slag, and enters a semi-solidification state due to the lack of good heat transfer, so the bad cycle will also lead to too much tin slag.

Four, the addition of tin strips

Before each turn on, you should check the furnace surface height. Do not open the peak, but add tin strips so that the tin furnace is full of solder. The heating device is then turned on to melt the tin strips. Because the melting of the tin strip will absorb heat, the temperature in the furnace is very uneven at this time, should wait until the tin strip is completely melted and the temperature in the furnace reaches a uniform state before the wave peak can be opened. Timely addition of tin strips is helpful to reduce the height difference between the welding surface and the solder surface, that is, to reduce the contact area between the solder crest and the air, but also to reduce the generation of tin slag.
