Production method and basic characteristics of titanium alloy rod.
1. Stretching

The principle of this method is to create a bond between the outer titanium and the inner copper rod through a certain amount of tensile deformation. This method is characterized by simple process, small equipment investment and low production cost. But the disadvantage is that the general tensile deformation is not large, titanium copper bonding tightness is poor, low composite strength; When the deformation is too large, due to the influence of cold hardening and uneven deformation, titanium and copper are not easy to combine, or even do not combine. When the composite bar is used, it has an impact on the electrical conductivity.

2. Squeeze or squeeze and stretch

Extrusion production of titanium alloy rod is a production technology developed in the early 1980s. According to the extrusion method, it can be divided into two kinds: copper rod sleeve titanium tube welding billet and vacuum casting billet. Due to the large deformation (generally more than 95% of the deformation) and the metal in the three-way compressive stress state during the extrusion, the Ti-copper interface will produce deep metallurgical bonding with huge deformation under high pressure, and generally form a wide composite wave and composite band, with high composite strength. Especially the vacuum casting ingot billet, in the process of manufacturing composite ingot, titanium and copper have formed metallurgical combination, which creates a very good basis for manufacturing composite bar with good composite properties.

The advantages of extrusion production of titanium alloy rod are that the composite rod has high composite strength and good composite fastness. When turning thread in electrode processing, the turning speed is fast, the feed quantity is large, and there is no separation of titanium and copper. High production efficiency, suitable for mass production mode. The disadvantage is that the surface roughness of the extruded bar is slightly poor, and the resistance to bending is low. .

After a certain amount of cold stretching, the bending resistance and surface roughness of the composite rod are improved, and the dimensional accuracy of the product is improved, and good results are obtained. It's very popular with users.
