Properties, main characteristics and uses of bronze rods.
Formability: The alloy has good cold and hot working performance, and can be processed by extrusion, hot rolling, forging (requiring solid solution treatment after forging). The hot working temperature is 820~930℃, and the hot forging property is 80% of that of forged brass HPb60_2. Cold work such as drawing, cold rolling, upsetting, molding or bending can be performed in solution, annealing or appropriate drawing state.
Welding performance: The alloy can solder, silver welding and brazing, easy to carry out gas protection arc welding, the welding parts with good heat dissipation are electronic. Beam welding effect is good. Fusion welding and hard brazing can reduce the properties obtained after heat treatment of the material. This welding is usually used in a soft state and the necessary heat treatment is applied accordingly. Soft brazing performance is good, not recommended oxyacetylene welding, protective metal arc welding, resistance spot welding and resistance seam welding.
Machinability and grinding properties: The machinability of the alloy is 20% of that of free-cutting brass HPb63.3. Mineral oil containing 20% lead oil is used as cooling lubricant during cutting.
Main features and uses: chrome bronze rod has high strength and hardness at room temperature and below 400℃, good conductivity and thermal conductivity, good processing and forming performance, and is often used in the production of high temperature conductive and wear-resistant parts of electrical equipment. The main applications are: motor rectifier, collector ring, high temperature switch, electrode of welding machine, roller, gripper, brake disc, disc used in bimetal form and other parts requiring high thermal conductivity, conductivity, high thermal strength.
