Extruded tubes are hot extruded to their final size and can be seamless or non-seamless (structural tubes). In contrast to slit tubes (structural tubes), seamless aluminum tubes are tubes without any weld seams.
Our professional process for seamless tube manufacturing starts with extruding hollow tubes or drilling solid rods to our strict specifications. All aluminum seamless tubes are produced by two methods. One method is to push hollow aluminum billets through moulds and mandrel presses with great force at high temperatures. Another method is to push the solid blank through the punch, and then the mandrel perforates and squeezes the blank in a second forward stroke. No matter which method is used, the tube will not have welds or seams, making it ideal for anodizing and other finishing procedures.
