1 Scope of Application
1. Suitable for ship or ocean engineering thickness of 3mm or above titanium alloy plate.
2. The chemical composition, mechanical properties and application of titanium alloy plates shall be submitted to CCS for approval. Upon approval, acceptance of titanium alloy plates can be conducted in accordance with relevant recognized standards.
Two manufacturing
1. Titanium alloy plates shall be produced by factories approved by CCS.
2. Except as specified in this section, titanium alloys shall be manufactured and tested in accordance with the relevant provisions of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 hereof.
3. Titanium alloys should be melted under vacuum conditions. If the vacuum consumable furnace is used for remelting and smelting, the consumable electrode is prohibited from using tungsten argon arc welding, and the melting times should be no less than 2 times to ensure the chemical uniformity of the material.
4. Titanium alloy plates should usually be manufactured by rolling method.
5. Except as stipulated in the contract, titanium alloy plates are usually delivered in annealed form.
Three surface mass
1. The surface of the plate should not affect the use of defects, such as cracks, peeling, oxide skin, wrinkles, metal or non-metallic inclusions, alkali washing traces, etc.
2. The product edge of titanium alloy plate should be flush, without burr, and the overall size and tolerance range should meet the relevant technical conditions accepted by CCS.
3. Allow grinding to remove minor surface defects. Grinding should generally be carried out in the rolling direction, the polished surface should form a smooth transition. Welding repair is not allowed to repair surface defects.
