Laser treatment mainly includes two kinds: surface heat treatment laser and laser surface alloying. When the cladding coating of Cu-Zr-Al alloy is prepared on the surface of magnesium alloy rod by broadband laser, the coating has high hardness, elastic modulus, wear resistance and corrosion resistance due to the strengthening effect of various intermetallic compounds formed in the coating. Due to the presence of rare earth element Nd, the magnesium alloy rod is coated with laser layers after rapid laser melting, and the grain is obviously refined, which can improve the compactness and integrity of the cladding layer. Single-layer and multilayer alloying layers can also be prepared on high purity magnesium alloys by laser irradiation.
Laser treatment can deal with complex geometric surfaces, but magnesium alloys are prone to oxidation, evaporation, vaporization, porosity and thermal stress during laser treatment, so it is very important to design the correct treatment process.

3. Magnesium alloy is widely used in portable equipment and automobile industry, and magnesium alloy rod can achieve the purpose of lightweight.
4. Magnesium alloy is used in the shell and shielding material of mobile phone.
5. Magnesium alloys are used in parts near vibration sources such as readout devices of hard drives. If magnesium alloy is used on the fan blades, vibration can be reduced to achieve low noise. In addition, magnesium alloy is used in the steering wheel and seat to improve impact absorption and lightweight after a crash.
