How is the hardness of aluminum tube formed?

Why are aluminum tubes that look the same so different in hardness? Is the hardness of aluminum directly related to its quality? In fact, during the production process, there are already differences in the hardness of aluminum tubes. There are many factors affecting the hardness of aluminum tubes in the production process. This article will introduce the influence of production environment temperature on the hardness of aluminum tubes.
Different temperatures make products of different hardness
Aluminum tube after extrusion through the cold bed, and then into the aging furnace for artificial aging treatment, the purpose is to meet the aging treatment of aluminum tube, obtain better hardness.
Aluminium profile according to the material divided into aluminum alloy and pure aluminum, aging hardness requirements respectively after 9 ー 12 and 15 ー 17 degrees. However, if the temperature is not well mastered during the extrusion process, or the aging time is not correct, it will cause the problem of insufficient hardness or over-aging. There are three kinds of temperature which have great influence on the forming hardness of aluminum tube. One is the temperature of extrusion tube, that is, the temperature of extrusion die, and the other is the temperature of aging furnace. The temperature of the aluminum profile must be controlled at least 490 degrees. Otherwise, the temperature is too low, after the first cooling, it will not reach the ideal hardness, and it is difficult to achieve artificial aging.
When making aluminum tubes, the temperature of the aging furnace should be controlled at 175 degrees and the temperature should be controlled at 185 degrees. Aging time in 4-6 hours, so that the aluminum tube after aging to achieve the ideal hardness. If the aging time is too long, it may cause aluminum profile annealing, it may cause the whole furnace aluminum waste. In the aging process, attention should be paid to the airflow distribution of the fan, and the aluminum alloy should be placed evenly, so as not to cause uneven hardness after aging.
