Lead ingot is widely used in industry. There are many refining methods for lead ingot. This article will introduce some commonly used refining methods.
1. Traditional lead smelting method
Sintering machine and ironmaking blast furnace are the key machinery and equipment of sintering machine, which can carry out reoxidation and reduction processing process respectively. There are some shortcomings in the sintering process itself: the concentration of SO2 in the whole process of sintering lead ingot is low, the conversion of dust into SO2 is only over 90, and the efficiency of SO2 is low. Because of the technical improvement, the project investment is less, the lead ingot manufacturing abroad still plays a key role.
2. Direct lead smelting
Direct smelting of lead ingot is divided into flash-melt and molten pool: typical flash-melt method is Kifsett method, Otto-Kup method, typical molten pool is QSL method, Koushan method, ISA furnace, Carl-Do method, etc.
Lead ingot product features: high density (up to 2.5), stable performance, strong and durable, pressure resistance, fire resistance, tide resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, cheap price, convenient construction, easy application and so on.
Main uses: Suitable for rechargeable batteries, building coatings, welding materials, organic chemical lead salt, cable sleeve, rolling bearing materials, joint materials, lead alloy and X-ray maintenance materials production.
