The zinc wire is added to the molten zinc solution by forming an alloy of Si and Zn in the amount of Si that can be melted at temperatures below the boiling point of Zn. In addition, at this time, if a portion of the molten zinc solution is excessively heated, the temperature of the molten zinc solution exceeds the boiling point of Zn. Therefore, the molten zinc solution is likely to evaporate as a gas and lose Zn. However, in the manufacturing method of the present invention, the molten zinc liquid is heated under the condition that the surface of the molten zinc liquid is covered with a carbonaceous material. Thus, the carbonaceous material prevents the evaporation of Zn.

Then, after the melting of the Si powder, the floating suppression on the Si powder is lifted, so that the molten Si is dispersed in the molten zinc solution. As a result, the molten metal of Zn-Si alloy can be obtained.

Zinc wire preferably pours the molten liquid of the Zn-Si alloy into a copper casting mold and performs water cooling and sudden cooling on the outer surface of the copper casting mold.

Zinc wire preferably adds Si powder of the metal to the molten zinc solution with a total amount of more than 0.1 mass % and less than 2.0 mass % relative to the resulting Zn-Si alloy. Segregation of Si may occur if the added amount of the metal Si powder is greater than 2.0 mass % relative to the total amount of the resulting Zn-Si alloy. Therefore, by making the added amount of the metal Si powder relative to the total amount of the obtained Zn-Si alloy less than 2.0 mass %, the segregation of Si can be reliably prevented and the above Zn-Si alloy with uniform composition can be obtained.

Zinc wire preferably the floating suppression component is composed of a material that does not react with the molten zinc solution and has an inner cover that freely folds along the inner surface of the crucible and a rod that supports the inner cover and makes the inner cover move up and down. The floating suppression component can reliably inhibit the floating of the metal Si powder by having the structure.

The zinc wire is a structure that does not allow the metal Si powder to pass through, but only allows the molten zinc liquid to pass through. As the inner cover with the above structure, for example, an inner cover consisting of a mesh body with a diameter smaller than that of the Si powder of the above metal, and an inner cover with multiple through holes with a diameter smaller than that of the Si powder of the above metal.
