Sulfur, selenium, tellurium, etc. have little solubility in copper, and can form brittle compounds with copper. They have little effect on electrical conductivity, but can reduce the processing plasticity. Let's talk about the processing characteristics of copper strip:

1. The intersect position of the two edges of the ball head knife for finishing should be thin. Such a cutting tool is sharp, reducing the friction during processing. When processing the position of small curvature, the processing effect is good.

2. The length of the tool should be as short as possible, or the use of a relatively thick tool bar to improve the strength of the tool, reduce the deformation of processing. This has a great impact on the finish of the workpiece.

3. The characteristics of the copper belt material itself is relatively soft, and relatively sticky. When working, be careful to use sharp knives. Now some tool manufacturers for copper material processing, special use of ultra-fine grained carbide materials grinding tools, processing effect is better.

4. In the processing of copper material, the cutting line speed has no obvious effect on the life of the tool. That is to say, when processing copper materials, the spindle speed can be adjusted to a larger range. Generally speaking, using φ6 flat bottom knife, the spindle speed is about 14000 (RPM).

5. The chip breaking characteristics of copper strip material are not good, and it is easy to form long chips. Therefore, the front tool surface of the processing tool must be smooth, so as to reduce the friction between the chip and the tool. This point is also more important, it has a greater impact on the use of tools.

6. For their own grinding tool in the processing of copper material, the rear Angle can be a little bigger, improve the sharpness of the tool. Also pay attention to the polishing of the front blade face. The grain of the grinding wheel needs to be fine so that a sharp cutting tool can be sharpened. Point point, point point Angle is small, so the processing effect is better.
